The building that now houses Rich's Nightclub has come a long way since it's humble beginnings as a warehouse on University Avenue in Hillcrest in 1960, but there's no denying it has always been an exciting landmark full of fun people, music and entertainment.

This is the time of year when the past meets the future. So grab a loved one and celebrate everything about 2019 and when the clock strikes midnight kiss them for good luck into the new year. 

New Year's eve at Rich's is going to be huge! In fact, it's MASSIVE! Get the champagne ready, put on your party hats and get ready to ring in the new year! 

Winter is coming and there is no better way to celebrate the season than getting into your best white attire and heading to Rich's on Saturday, December, 28. 

It may not snow in Hillcrest, but SDPIX is making sure everyone gets into the spirit of the season at the Winter White Party.

With less than two weeks until Christmas Day, the pressure is on to get that one person (or 10) left on your list something special. It's a good thing Hillcrest has so many shops and eateries to help you out.

Get your candy canes ready for one of the craziest Christmas events this side of the North Pole.

It was another dazzling night of fun, community revelry and wonderful surprises at the 44th Annual Nicky Awards that took place Sunday night at Point Loma's Courtyard Marriot Liberty Station. 

Attendees were dressed to the nines and posed for photos at the step and repeat before the ceremony got started. 

It's official, the holidays have started and it's time to gobble up the fun in Hillcrest.

Thanksgiving weekend starts on Thursday and if you don't like cooking at home, or can't for whatever reason, there is plenty of room at the table in various locations around the community from Crest Cafe to the Missiongathering Church.

This week in the news we got word that Chick-Fil-A was going to clear up their image and stop giving money to anti-LGBT charities. Conservatives were not happy and accused the chain of caving to the LGBT bully mob. 

Also this week, the community took time to remember those we have lost in the transgender community for Transgender Day of Remembrance. 

It's just a week until Thanksgiving and the gayborhood is already stuffed with great things to do. A Flicker mainstay is celebrating a birthday and the queens at Rich's are gearing up for round seven at Drag me to DIVAS.
