Opened in 2014, The Pride Center creates, sustains, and strengthens an open, inclusive, safe, and affirming gathering space and campus environment for persons of all sexual and gender identities and their allies.

Racist, homophobic flyers posted on SDSU campus

Racist and homophobic flyers sprouted up in bathrooms across the San Diego State University (SDSU) campus this week, creating a shockwave throughout the student body.

The postings, pasted in East Commons and library bathrooms were taken down immediately after they were reported to campus authorities.  

New San Diego State University program supports LGBTQ commuter students

This semester, the San Diego State University Pride Centerhas implemented a new program, the Pride House Commuter Program, to provide guidance, advice and support to commuter students who align themselves with SDSU’s LGBTQ community. Seven current freshmen have chosen to be a part of this pilot program.

SDSU ranked among top 50 LGBT-friendly campuses

San Diego State University has a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion and social justice. 

The commitment was recently recognized, as SDSU was ranked among the top 50 universities for LGBT students by College Choice, ranking 31 in the country. 

San Diego State University to raise rainbow flag in advance of San Diego Pride

In a statement, Eric Rivera, vice president for student affairs, invited members of the faculty and all students to attend and encouraged wide participation of the event to show campus support of LGBT students on the SDSU campus as well as the local LGBT community at large.
