Lambda Archives will welcome community members to its exhibit space on Saturday, Dec. 1.

The Lambda Archives have taken on a decades-long project in hopes of documenting the LGBT art movement.

The 2012 "Pioneers, Heroes, and Trailbazers" awards will be held at the Officers Club at MCRD -- an active military base -- a first since DADT.

San Diego's LGBT historical society, Lambda Archives, recently opened its long anticipated exhibit and archive space.

What do you get when you mix ... oh you will see! Come out this Friday evening for food, fun, dancing, raffles, contests a pajama parade and more, while raising funds for the Archives and enjoying a whimsical new San Diego eatery!

Lillian Rubin is credited with helping to found the San Diego chapter of PFLAG and being a vocal ally for the LGBT community.

SDSU will raise a rainbow flag high over the campus today to celebrate diversity and LGBT History Month. This evening, community members are welcome to the LGBT Student Union's Big Gay BBQ.

As San Diego prepares for its large LGBT pride celebrations next weekend, the smaller east county city of Lemon Grove will hold a pride celebration of its own Saturday.

There could not be a better time than now, 2011, to step up to the plate and give back to the charity organizations that have served those most in need in our community day after day, year after year.
