The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) says it is representing a Kennewick, Wash., gay couple in seeking remedies from a florist that discriminated against them by refusing to provide flowers for their wedding.
A gay couple in Paris say they were attacked and beaten for walking arm-in-arm in what LGBT advocates in the country say is indicative of a rise in anti-gay attacks in France since Parliament began debating a measure that would legalize same-sex marriage.
“During her rule, arrests and convictions for consenting same-sex behavior rocketed, as did queer bashing violence and murder. Gay men were widely demonized and scapegoated for the AIDS pandemic and Thatcher did nothing to challenge this vilification.”
A 26-year-old gay man is accusing two immigration guards in El Centro, Calif. of making anti-gay slurs at him, violently roughing him up while in custody, and putting in danger his health and his life.
