The Hillcrest Business Association (HBA) has recently shared information that the office of Councilmember Chris Ward has been advancing a plan to create a special management district in University Heights and include Hillcrest’s Normal Street in the district.

It was another dazzling night of fun, community revelry and wonderful surprises at the 44th Annual Nicky Awards that took place Sunday night at Point Loma's Courtyard Marriot Liberty Station. 

Attendees were dressed to the nines and posed for photos at the step and repeat before the ceremony got started.

Several business windows in Hillcrest were vandalized earlier this week.

Police say there were two reports that came in at 11:21 pm and 11:24 pm, respectively on Tuesday, July 2.

Hillcrest Pride flag vandalized, local businesses take action with fundraiser

Vandals mar historic Hillcrest LGBT landmark.

A Hillcrest landmark that is supposed to signify unity, freedom, and beauty was marred by vandalism last week (Feb. 6).

Two plaques beneath the Pride Flag on University Avenue and Normal Street were scratched up and damaged with what looks like an object sharp enough to make deep gashes in the surface.
