Taxpayers shelled out some of the $185 million to open the new Central Library in downtown San Diego. It is free to get in, but parking will cost you $1.25 every 20 minutes and patrons tell Team 10 that is just too much money.
A community festival will be held this Saturday, Sept. 28 to celebrate the long-awaited opening of the new San Diego Central Library in downtown. The new building will serve as the heart of the city's 35-branch public library system.
The iconic new Central Library will open to the public on Sept. 28, and members of the LGBT community are trying to raise $150,000 to support the Teen Center and help grow and maintain the LGBT Collection, one of the largest in the country.
