San Diego Master Chorale Messiah Sing

Sunday December 5 at 5 pm

Our traditional Messiah “Sing-Along” returns to the Cathedral this year, with the San Diego Master Chorale conducted by John Russell and accompanied by Martin Green on the cathedral organ. Virgen of Guadalupe Celebration

Sunday December 12 at 1 pm

The Spanish-speaking members of the Cathedral invite you to join them for a special event honoring La Virgen de Guadalupe. Starting with a procession around the neighborhood, the celebration continues with the Eucharist service and concludes with a feast of tamales.

A Service of Lessons and Carols for Christmas

Sunday December 19 at 5 pm

The Cathedral choirs offer a special service of Scripture readings and carols, to usher in the Christmas season in the tradition of the Church of England.

“Room in the Inn”: A Las Posadas Christmas Eve Celebration

This year, we will welcome the birth of Jesus with a bilingual Las Posadas celebration for all ages, a tradition from Latin America which symbolizes the Biblical journey of Mary and Joseph as they searched for shelter in Bethlehem before the birth of Jesus.

Join us for one of the highlights of the Cathedral year, when we celebrate the birth of Christ and features the Cathedral Choir, instrumentalists, pageantry, carols, and a sermon from the Cathedral’s Dean.

Christmas Day Service

We celebrate Christmas morning with a service of Eucharist featuring organ and carols.
