The event normally brings together community members for an festive evening, but it will look different this year due to COVID-19.
The San Diego LGBT Community Center's Come Home for the Holidays has been a longtime holiday tradition where community members typically gather at the The Center for an evening of food, cheer, and fun. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic such a gathering wouldn't be possible this year, but The Center has still made plans to ensure that community members are able to enjoy a hot meal with some holiday cheer in a safe way.
The Center, in partnership with Gossip Grill, will be providing warm meals for pick up on Saturday, Dec. 19 between 3-5 pm for community members who have been impacted by COVID-19.
"Although we aren't able to gather and celebrate our annual Come Home for the Holidays event, we would like to offer you a warm meal to pick-up and enjoy," wrote The Center in a post advertising the event.
Participants will be able to safely drive thru The Center's parking lot, located at 3909 Centre St. in Hillcrest, and pickup their warm meal provided by Gossip Grill.

For those unable to drive up, please contact The Center at email@example.com, for accommodations to be made.
