City of San Diego's new video series features a conversation with outgoing city councilmember Georgette Gómez

The City of San Diego's Council Communications Office has created a new video series called "Council Conversations" where Council Communications Director David Rolland sits down with City Councilmembers to discuss a variety of topics.

This first video in the series featured a chat with San Diego City Council President Georgette Gómez who talks about her time on the Council, her core values and accomplishments, response to COVID-19 and social unrest, advice for incoming Council members and more.

Gomez is a member of the LGBTQ community and was elected to the city council in 2016. She ascended to the role of Council President, but decided to not seek re-election for a second term as she bid for the 53rd Congressional District seat. She was unsuccesful in that race so she will be out of public office effective Dec. 10 when the new city council is sworn in.
