The GLAAD Rising Stars Program celebrates young people’s commitment to enhancing LGBTQ representation within their communities and culture at large.
This year, GLAAD introduced the Rising Stars 20 Under 20 list to honor young LGBTQ people who are accelerating acceptance of LGBTQ people while shaping the future of news, entertainment, social, and all forms of media.
The honor is eligible to LGBTQ young people between the ages of 13 and 20 years old who are working to accelerate acceptance for LGBTQ people and have been featured in broad regional or national media. Rising Stars 20 Under 20 celebrates the next generation of LGBTQ leaders in media advocacy, including journalists, actors, musicians, students, activists, and other young change agents.
