What promised to be an exciting crazy Texas-style nightlife bar in Hillcrest has suddenly walked off into the sunset this week. The World Famous Tin Room in Hillcrest has closed for good after only three months in the historic neighborhood.
James Moed and his husband Damien Hughes aren't letting Uber off easy after they visited San Diego late last month and their driver called police on them saying that they had essentially kidnapped their infant.

Whether you have a green thumb or not the Inez Grant Parker Memorial Rose Garden could use your help. They are currently accepting volunteers, novice or experienced, to join the Rose Garden Corps. Volunteers work in the garden trimming off dead blooms, weeding, raking, fertilizing, pruning and planting new varieties.

Collin Martin, a professional soccer player, made sports headlines two years ago after coming out publically while playing for the Minnesota United. That held historic significance because it made him the only out player in all five major sports organizations. He is now playing for San Diego.
