This year, sip, sashay and celebrate World Pride and honor those who have courageously fought for equality and are no longer with us.

The queens are back in town! Palm Canyon Theatre presents "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert!" Based on the popular 1994 film, this musical adaptation follows drag queens Tick and Felicia and transgender queen Bernadette as they travel across the remote Australian desert in their colorful bus, Priscilla, to perform at a drag show in Alice Springs.

Along the way they encounter a number of hilarious, unusual, emotional, and sometimes uncomfortable situations. Songs include “It’s Raining Men,” “I Will Survive,” “Hot Stuff,” “Finally,” “Boogie Wonderland,” “Go West,” “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” and many more.

"Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" is an Official Palm Springs Pride Event and is located in downtown Palm Springs in the historic Steven S. Frances building.

George Zander Candlelight Vigil and March

Free Event. Join us in Downtown Palm Springs to reflect, remember, and stand up against hate violence around the world. We will honor the memories of all victims of hate crimes and remember George Zander on the fourth anniversary of the day he and Chris Zander were attacked in Downtown Palm Springs. George died on Dec. 10, 2015.

Help us carry forward the social justice efforts that defined his life. We must remain determined to change hate, intolerance, and ignorance into love and acceptance.

The vigil will begin at Grand Central and features a rally and march through the heart of Palm Springs. We must never forget. Join us as we speak out against hate.

The Premier Double Decker Architectural Bus Tour provides guests with a 2.5-hour overview of significant civic and commercial buildings, as well as residential properties located within notable Palm Springs neighborhoods, including the midcentury “leisure lifestyle” communities in South Palm Springs.

Lead by knowledgeable guides, this open-air experience offers unique, exterior perspectives of Desert Spanish and Midcentury Modern architecture, two predominant styles found in Palm Springs.

From the oldest existing structure in Palm Springs, the McCallum Adobe, and the expansive grounds of the exclusive Villa Paradiso Estate, to Albert Frey’s 800 square foot “Frey House II” perched on the mountainside, passengers will gain a better understanding of the historical richness and architectural diversity found in this desert oasis.

On Friday November 1, 2019, in cooperation with Palm Springs Pride Weekend, businesses in downtown and uptown Palm Springs will be creating their own pop-up events. Palm Springs Art Museum is excited to announce a brand-new official Pride event kicking off the celebration weekend on Friday, November 1, 2019.

The Art of Pride is a museum fundraiser and a one-of-a-kind LGBTQ+ party welcoming friends and allies. Participants will have access to the entire museum located in downtown Palm Springs, just a short walk from the Arenas Block Party festivities. All museum galleries will be open, as well as the two outdoor patios and Annenberg Theater. Attendees can explore offerings from the permanent collection and current exhibitions including Touching History: Stonewall 50 which commemorates the 50th anniversary of the historic New York riots through the lens of LGBTQ+ artists working in photography and collage.

The evening is limited to 1,000 attendees and includes DJ Kimberly S. spinning music throughout the building, an open bar, appetizers, and Boomerang Photo Booth by Coachella Party. The Art of Pride will be an ideal way to launch the weekend, so come and make an exhibition of yourself with a wonderful mix of locals and out-of-towners in a fun-filled celebration of queerness and culture!

General Admission tickets are $75 and VIP tickets are $150. VIP ticket holders and event sponsors have special access to valet parking and a VIP reception in the Meyerman Sculpture Garden, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

The 2019 Palm Springs Pride Run and Walk is a 5K race through the beautiful and historic neighborhood of Old Las Palmas on November 2!  The out-and-back course is on paved streets, with an elevation change of just 117 feet, and winds through a former citrus grove, and later home to celebrities such as Liberace, Mary Martin, Alan Ladd, William Powell, George Randolph Hearst, Kirk Douglas, Lily Tomlin, and many more.

Registration Fee: $30 (through Sept. 30), $35 (Oct 1-31), and $40 (Nov 1-2) and on race day. Same-day registration will be available from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.

Proceeds from the 2019 Palm Springs Pride Run and Walk 5K will be donated to The LGBT Community Center of the Desert and Safe Schools Desert Cities

Free event. Open to those 14 to 21. The Youth Zone is the hub for LGBTQ+ youth and their allies at the Pride Festival.

Pride Youth Zone is our safe space for queer youth to hang out and meet others within the Pride Festival.

The Youth Zone features continuous entertainment and activities, free food and drink, games, dancing, DJ Eric Ornelas, karaoke, seating, contests, games, youth only confidential testing, drag and make-up fun, great conversation, creative expression, chalk drawing, shade from the sun, toilets and a washing station, safe sex information. EVERYTHING IS FREE. All youth are embraced.

The Zone, is created and hosted by Safe Schools Desert Cities and is sponsored by the Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast.

Families are invited to join us for arts and crafts and games. Hosted by Palm Springs Pride, C-HQ is a playful place for children and accompanying adults. A private family-only place is hands-on fun for you and your kids — from infants to pre-teen.

We’re excited to host a free attraction for children and LGBTQ+ families during Pride Weekend. LGBTQ+ families are welcomed to the Children’s Garden for free kid-friendly activities.

All kids are encouraged to have fun during Pride and learn the importance of being proud with who they are.

Complimentary snacks and cool drinks, a nap area, and a clean port-a-potty along with a diaper-changing station ensure that the children’s space fulfills the needs of a festival-going family. Parents are required to stay in the children’s play area with their children.

A fun night of Pop, Drag, and Rock ’n’ Roll, performances. The outdoor street party starts with Krave and Culture’s fashion show and then the fun and fresh drag show Now Serving The Chilldren takes the stage.  Making a special appearance on the Arenas District Stage is Lee Dagger of Bimbo Jones.

Direct from London is British institution Heather Small! Known to many as the lead singer in the band M People.  Closing the Block Party is Black Sabbitch, the all-female Black Sabbath with their epic performance that nails every note of the legendary group's familiar repertoire.

This block party is a signature event focused on the heart of the Palm Springs Gayborhood … a celebration of Pride as well as the symbolic embrace of Arenas Road.  Favorite LGBTQ bars and local businesses will be packed to the rafters and spilling out onto the streets for the biggest free LGBT street party in Palm Springs. 

The streets will be packed with Pride revelers, dancers and an open-air beverage lounge.  The Block Party invites residents and visitors to discover (and re-discover) all that Arenas Road has to offer.

Theme: Millions of Moments of Pride

Free event. Known for its crystal blue skies and year-round sunshine, the city of Palm Springs comes alive during the annual Pride celebration. Thousands of spectators will gather along palm tree–lined streets to cheer on and support local organizations, activists, and themed floats along historic Palm Canyon Drive. The Parade usually lasts two hours.

Recognized as community grand marshal is Michael Green, an energetic community leader and superstar in the local tourism arena. He has served on the board for many nonprofit organizations and is the executive director of the Palm Springs Cultural Center.

Four Reviewing Stands!

Enjoy emcee commentary as parade contingents move along Palm Canyon Dr. and pass by official reviewing stands.

•  Main Reviewing Stand will be located near Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge at 849 N. Palm Canyon Dr. Host and Emcee Nicholas Snow.

•  Mix 100.5 will be near Trio at 707 N. Palm Canyon Dr. in Uptown.

•  MOD-107.3 will be just north of Alejo near Frances Stevens Park on Palm Canyon Dr.

•  The Deaf Pride reviewing stand will be near Amado and N. Palm Canyon Dr. and feature Sign Language Interpretation.

Free event. A street fair, a music festival of diverse artists, and a gathering place, the Pride Festival is a celebration of all that is LGBTQ+ in Palm Springs.

Queer Women's After Party

Alibi, 369 N Palm Canyon

Join us at Alibi 369 N. Palm Canyon to celebrate after the parade. Live entertainment, awards and dancing. Led by Jesse Jones, our Entertainer of the Year, a stunning mix of drag kings and burlesque dancers will perform. Our own local comedian, Shann Carr, will MC the festivities.

This is a queer/lesbian specific event but all our welcome. Admission is free but you MUST reserve your spot. Your wristband for seating can be redeemed between 2 and 2:30 pm.
