NEWS

In a unanimous decision, India's Supreme Court has ruled to decriminalize gay sex. The decision was announced in Delhi causing citizens and LGBT rights activists to celebrate in the streets. 

In a developing story coming out of Nevada, local publication Therenogaypage reports a gay man's Washoe County home was vandalized with a homophobic slur and hate speech on Thursday (Sept. 6) morning.

A Pittsburgh married lesbian couple decided to paint their entire house in the colors of the rainbow after they say they endured homophobic abuse for years. 

On August 24, Trader Joe's filed a lawsuit to ban signature gatherers from using the front of their stores as places to approach people to sign petitions

On April 26 a band of seemingly fortuitous artists descended on the intersection of Telegraph and 66th in Oakland to paint the four-way stop in rainbow colors according to

President Trump's biographer, Michael D’Antonio, turns his unofficial pen toward the vice president in a new book called The Shadow President about Mike Pence. In it, the author writes that Pence thinks it's God's "calling" that he becomes the next president. 

Heading to Taipei with their toddler, a married male couple was stopped at the EVA Air gate at the San Francisco International Airport during family pre-boarding, where they were allegedly told only one parent could accompany the child into the cabin.

COMMENTARY 

Rev Irene Monroe talks about the Catholic church and if it can bounce back after allegations of sexual abuse: "Sadly, in 2018 the Catholic Church worldwide is still bedeviled with this problem. And it begs the question, is the Catholic Church unsalvageable?"

CAUSES

On Thursday, AIDS Walk & Run San Diego announced the 14 local HIV service organizations that will receive funding from this year’s event, set for Saturday, Sept. 29.

If you are a fan of Discovery Channel's "Expedition Unknown" with Josh Gates, you might remember the episode where he went on an urban treasure hunt which took him to the bottom of a frozen lake on a bogus lead to find a pair of Judy Garland's ruby slippers used in the film. This week it was announced they have finally been found. 

American Horror Story: Apocalypse is the eighth season of the popular FX series and this year it's a crossover with characters from both Murder House (Season 1) and Coven (Season 3). This new teaser asks more questions than gives answers. 

Marc Martel is a YouTube sensation who might cause you to do a double-take with his uncanny resemblance to Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. Martel would definitely give you pause once you hear him cover one of the legendary artist's songs.

Also, in honor of Freddie Mercury's birthday this week his ex co-workers at the Heathrow International Airport made a music video in honor of the Queen frontman. 

Timothy Hughes is on Broadway in a stage production of the Disney favorite "Frozen" and on Wednesday, during his curtain call, an audience member raised a Trump banner and the star snatched it from them throwing it backstage. .
