This free celebration takes place on Wednesday, July 11.
San Diego Pride and Dean Penny Bridges of St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral, are inviting the public to participate in their interfaith events for San Diego Pride 2018.
The Pride Interfaith Celebration - Light up the Cathedral is on Wednesday, July 11, this year's Pride Interfaith theme: "Persist with Faith, Persist with Pride."
The keynote speaker will be Nicole M. Garcia, transgender candidate for ordination in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
They are asking the public to meet at 7 pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral on 5th Avenue for an "Interfaith Pride Celebration" which begins at 7:15 pm culminating in the Lighting of the Cathedral at 8 pm, then a lemonade reception.
The San Diego Women's Chorus and the San Diego Gay Men's Chorus will be performing as well as the San Diego Creative Arts Project.
Numerous faith-based organizations will also join in on the Pride celebration with music, dance, poetry, Psalms, and inspirational words.
The Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego will be this year's "Light of Pride" award recipient.
This is a free event including the reception in the courtyard.
