Only a month after the largest San Diego Pride in history, Hillcrest will come alive again for its annual CityFest event on August 13. In fact, some people have nicknamed the celebration "Pride lite."

This enormous event will take over the heart of Hillcrest with plenty things to do including arts, crafts, and food.

It also happens to be the largest single-day street fair in San Diego. Organizers are expecting over 150,000 attendees.

“CityFest is truly the last major street fair of the season,” Executive Director of the Hillcrest Business Association Ben Nicholls has said, “CityFest will also host an all ages dance party under the Hillcrest sign...a kids pavilion, artist alleys along Fifth avenue and a twenty-one and up beer garden from noon to 11 pm.”

The grand stage will have live music all day long with acts including Imagery MachineThe Whiskey CircleChugboatThe Strawberry MoonsAJ FromanThe Montell Jordans,

Once the sun goes down, the celebration lights up with some of Hillcrest’s best DJs playing music for those who want to dance the night away under the famous Hillcrest sign.

Also, providing drinks and cocktails is a massive spirits garden, a popular destination that will include games and even more entertainment.

Restaurants and food vendors will be open to keep you energized throughout the day with shopping and browsing available in Hillcrest’s most recognized shops and businesses.
