This summer film festival is the largest celebration of LGBT films in San Diego.
It’s that time of year again when fans and the biggest LGBT celebrities make their way to America’s Finest City to indulge in the largest LGBT film festival San Diego has to offer.
This will be the 19th anniversary of the popular event and the 2017 lineup is filled with more celebrities and talent than ever before.
First we get an exclusive premiere of Del Shore’s follow up to the classic Sordid Lives, called A Very Sordid Wedding, starring Bonnie Bedelia and Leslie Jordan. The original Southern comfort comedy was a hit back in 2000, and this sequel has already created great buzz among its San Diego fans.
Fans also love the popular Saturday matinee short film tract . This year there are 10 wonderful films to enjoy.
But FilmOut has also created FrightOut, a selection of LGBT-themed horror movie shorts for those who like their films with hot and cold running chills.

Closing Night Film: Jennifer M. Kroot’s The Untold Tales of Armistead Maupin – west coast premiere! Closing Night Film at 7 pm and Closing Night Party at: West Coast Tavern (2895 University Avenue, San Diego, CA 92104 — Onsite in the upper theatre lobby): 9 pm to 11 pm.
Boy's Centerpiece: David Berry’s Something Like Summer – west coast premiere!
Girls Centerpiece: Jennifer Reeder’s Signature Move – west coast premiere!
Festival Spotlight: Josh Howard’s – The Lavender Scare – west coast premiere!
International Spotlight: Laurent Micheli’s – Even Lovers Get the Blues – west coast premiere!
FilmOut presents the San Diego LGBT Film Festival on Friday, June 9, to Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Observatory North Park Theatre.

Opening night is Friday, June 9, at 7 pm.
