Topping the news this week was the discovery of missing San Diego man David Medina's body which was found near the site where he crashed his car.
Also local transgender activists yell epithet at San Diego trans police officer Christine Garcia at The Center.
Other big news from The Center is the retirement of Executive Director Dr. Delores Jacobs. She gives a statement.
Another San Diegan goes missing: this time in Mexico. Immigration rights activist Castro pleaded with people on Facebook Live to help save him from local criminals.
COMMENTARY
The Reverend Irene Monroe weighs in on the Kendall Jenner Pepsi ad controversy, saying how that company failed its multicultural audience.
And the American Military Partner Association (AMPA) gives their comments about why President Trump's nominee for Secretary of the Army, Mark Green is the worst person for the job.
CAUSES
Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley condemns LGBTQ attacks in Chechnya, The Red Dress Party San Diego announced their 2017 theme, and Nicole Murray-Ramirez is once again called upon to co-chair the March on Washington in June.
ENTERTAINMENT
In Coachella, Lady Gaga gave fans a treat by releasing a new single while locally, vocal powerhouse Frenchie Davis took to the stage at Martinis Above Fourth.
This week also saw Starbucks introduce the mega-hyped "Unicorn Frappuccino," and a Denver tattoo artist drew criticism from people who disapproved of her rendering of a pin-up style tattoo of a Green Bay football player she did on a man's arm.
Our critic Jean Lowerison made several visits to the theater this week to review "Flemming (an American Thriller)," "Skeleton Crew," "The Siegel" and "A Dolls House, Part 2."
In other theater news, an Atlanta Georgia troupe will go ahead with gay biblical comedy “The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told," despite hate mail from Catholic group.
Also another great week ahead for local entertainment and parties as Jim Winsor gives the community its itinerary in his weekly write up "Out & About."
SOCIAL
A Wisconsin man rejects another on gay hook-up app Scruff, and the man responds with a tirade of homophobic and racist comments.
Some of those great pool parties you enjoy during the summer are put together by San Diego based company LE Parties. Meet the two men who make the magic happen.
And people went "OUT at the Park" for LGBT Pride at Petco Park to watch The Padres and the Marlins square off.
HEALTH, WELLNESS & SPORTS
In sports news, a Mexican LGBT soccer team wants to make it to Miami for the World Outgames, and needs to raise money for the trip.
In the Philippines, Uber has gone live and their promotional ad shows how one man deals with riding next to a male stranger who also happens to be his long-time crush.
