There was a lot of interesting local news this week, including a group of business owners who are handing out 'Hate Has No Business Here' posters to other San Diego businesses. The poster can be downloaded here.

Other local includes a body found in Balboa Park on Monday morning; Hillcrest's Sommerset Hotel to close, become apartments or condos; jury in San Diego Pride loincloth case reach verdict; a local entertainer says he got kicked out of Uber for being in drag; and Kevin Faulconer was sworn in for a second term as mayor.

Those who drive through Hillcrest and North Park should take note: Parts of University Ave. to close overnight on Dec. 19 and Dec. 20.

Some happy news from Canada: A couple celebrates 50 years together.
