Happy Thanksgiving! We hope all of our readers had a wonderful holiday and are enjoying the long weekend with family, friends, and loved ones. Below, check out the stories that made it to SDGLN this past week.

NEWS

The big local story that has generated a lot of discussion over the past couple days is about a misunderstanding which left a San Diego Police officer out of The Center's Transgender Day of Remembrance event.

Also locally, the carsharing service 'car2go' will exit the San Diego market on Dec. 31; and a missing accident victim was found in the Sweetwater channel.

Three national headlines: A gay Massachusetts mayor was harassed for the second time in a week; Trump to nominate anti-LGBT Betsy DeVos for U.S. Secretary of Education; and one person dead, three injured in a New York gay nightclub shooting.
