For the third week in a row, the troubles at San Diego Pride continue to be in our news coverage. After weeks of protests, allegations, and negotiations, the San Diego Pride board 'updates' their meeting minutes, and says plans for Pride 2017 are moving forward. Other local news includes SDGMC's Bob Lehman honored by City Human Relations Commission; Golden Hill, North Park get communty plan approval from City Council; and road closures for North Park, Normal Heights, and City Heights announced for Oct. 30.
At the national level, we lose another gay bar: Styxx, Portland (in Maine, not Oregon) is the city's only gay bar and will shutter after three decades. Also, a woman allegedly set fire to the Las Vegas LGBT Center and claims Oprah told her to do it; and Equality House riddled with bullet holes and homophobic graffiti.
