The Matinée Festival is returning to San Diego on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, through Monday, Sept. 5.

This party was such a huge success last year that organizers have booked more high-caliber talent, including internationally renowned DJ Dan Slater and DJ Leomeo. With special guest Nina Flowers.

The Matinée Festival began in Ibiza, Spain, twenty years ago.

Then in 2010 organizers Jake Resnicow, Paul Nicholls and Patrick Crough brought the experience across the Atlantic and into Manhattan.

With its extravagant dance floors, high-energy music and awesome surprises, the party grew across the states with events now in Las Vegas and San Diego.

The San Diego party is spread out through Hillcrest and North Park over four days on Labor Day weekend, beginning at Rich’s Nightclub for “The Island,” and concluding at The Lafayette Hotel for a “Sunset Tea Party,” with six exclusive events in-between.

This end-of-summer celebration is never dull and there are still pleanty of ticketing options.

This year The Layfayette Hotel has been chosen as the host hotel.
