With pumpkin-spiced lattes marketing outside every coffeehouse, there is a rush of excitement in knowing that Fall is clearly breezing among us. Regardless of whether your city still embraces you in a crop top or you are starting to dust off your light jackets for use, there is no denying that the dog days are over.
Readers know that nothing excites me more than adorning myself in more than one layer of clothing - something this season fiercely enables moi to do!
And while I'm sure there are a couple of bitter readers right now swaying back and forth in a dark corner comforting themselves in their newly purchased tank tops wishing fashion faux pas upon me for bringing Fall into this conversation, your fashionista is here to introduce his favorite Fall trend and the spiritual connection this season brings within us all!
Take a second to allow your mind to go through a reel of all the different style choices you've opted for, conquered, and shamefully gave up on since ringing in the new year. Go ahead. I promise you this article will still be here after you take a trip down memory lane!
That wasn't so bad, was it? Or was it?!
Personally, Fall is that pivotal time of year when I self reflect on the decisions I've made throughout the year: trends, career choices, relationships, celebrity crushes. It's a season of personal innovation and clarity of what I want to accomplish before ringing in the new year. If there was any wrong I've committed, this season graces me with the opportunity to right it!
With a number of upcoming trends for men, black leather accents will be a major hit from coast to coast. Anything from a wool coat with leather pipping to a biker jacket with leather sleeves, to a pair of black leather pants! "Leather, Christian? That's so Danny Zucko and so NOT me!" you might protest in defense as you take another sip off your soy pumpkin-spiced latte.
The honest truth, if I may say so, is that black leather is no longer seen as a sign of slick and attitude. It's an introduction to a whole new you! An individual who has felt trial and error - and has built a thicker skin because of it.
It serves as a subtle reminder that you are entering a new stage in life, and are facing it with a Demi (Lovato) attitude! While you don't have to stock up on everything leather, a piece or two with leather accents that you can mix and match with are more than enough. Personally, having transitioned from colored chinos to plaid pants, a pair of leather pants finished with ankle boots is the right fit for me! (pretty fierce, right?!)
Now that wasn't so bad, was it darlings?
Fall is here, and there is nothing you can change about that. Your perspective and style enhancement, on the other hand, you can! So take your fashionista's advice, and make that connection with this new phase - and fall into style!
