NIAGRA FALLS, Ontario, Canada -- St. John's Anglican Church has weighed in on LGBT rights and acceptance by posting this message on its roadside sign board:
"Jesus had two dads and he turned out just fine!"
Someone posted a photo of the sign on Reddit and voila, it went viral. To date, more than 1 million people have viewed the image.
St. John's Anglican Church is an inclusive congregation that welcomes LGBT worshippers.
The Canadian congregation's powerful message of inclusion is not the first North American church to tackle gay issues.
In 2012, San Diego's Missiongathering Church put up a billboard in North Carolina slamming those who helped pass that state's constitutional ban on same-gender marriage. Here what the North Park church's billboard said:
Missiongathering Christian Church is sorry for the narrow-minded, judgmental, deceptive, manipulative actions of those who denied rights and equality to so many in the Name of God.
