OUT at Universal Studios party to be held during LA Pride

LOS ANGELES -- This LA Pride, Masterbeat and Tom Whitman present the first-ever OUT at Universal – a gay day and night at Universal Studios Hollywood theme park.

Taking place Saturday, June 8, Universal Studios Hollywood theme park will close for the general public at 9 m and remain open exclusively for OUT at Universal guests until 1 am.

Event guests can enjoy rides including Transformers 3D: The Ride, Revenge of the Mummy and The Simpsons along with other park attractions including an outside dance area with live DJ’s and performances. As an added bonus, the OUT at Universal ticket price includes admission to the park earlier in the day before the private event begins. Guests may arrive to the park any time after 3 pm and enjoy all of the additional shows and attractions at the park before the private OUT at Universal celebration begins at 9 pm.

“We have a lot to be proud about in Los Angeles this year,” Masterbeat’s Brett Henrichsen said. "We’ve made tremendous strides in the battle for marriage equality. Gays and lesbians are represented in more Hollywood films and TV shows than ever before. And now we’re seeing an exciting new gay-by boom and the rise of same-sex families! It’s a thrilling time to be LGBT.”

Out at Universal is a closed, private event. Season passes will not be honored. It is the one night when LGBT attendees can walk hand in hand and enjoy the thrilling rides without fear of harassment, event organizers say. Guests can dance outside, grab a drink at one of many outside full alcoholic bars throughout the park, and enjoy no waiting in long lines as the attractions are open just for them from 9 pm to 1 am.

Additionally, guests in the mood to take their Pride celebrations to the next level can opt to add on an additional party to their OUT at Universal admission ticket. LA’s pride dance party, We Party: Formula, will also take place on the Universal Studios Hollywood lot during the event.

After riding the attractions and dancing outside, guests can step directly into one of Universal’s very own giant sound stages that will be transformed into LA's biggest mega-club with thundering 6 point sound, lasers, and lights and the world famous production of WE Party direct from Spain. DJ’s Alyson Calagna (USA) and Manuel de Diego (Madrid) whisk partiers on an adrenaline pumping musical journey from 10 pm until 4 am.

General admission presale tickets for OUT at Universal are $65 (a dramatic savings over a regular park day pass) and are available online now.
