SAN DIEGO -- The Hillcrest Farmers Market is seeking community volunteers for the information booth and to assist with weekly special events.
Volunteers will assist with a number of different events and activities at the market, as well as become acquainted with the "ins and outs" of the market, assisting in selling merchandise and answering frequently asked questions.
The Hillcrest Farmers Market began in April 1997 and strives for continual improvement as the market changes from season to season each year.
Featuring a wide variety of locally grown in-season produce, wellness, arts and crafts, and prepared food vendors, Hillcrest Farmers Market hosts more than 125 vendors each week. This spring, organizers are expanding the size of the market and shifting the footprint.
The Hillcrest Farmers Market encourages all shoppers and supporters to become market volunteers.
A time commitment of 6 hours on Sundays, and 10 markets per year is required. Volunteers will be given market t-shirts and market bucks valid at any market vendor each week.
Those interested in volunteering for the Hillcrest Farmers Market should contact volunteer coordinator, Cassandra Ramhap at 619-299-3330 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
