PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- Scheduled for April 3-7, the Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend will present over 15 music, comedy and television stars. Billed as the largest “girl party/music festival” in the world, this year marks the 23rd anniversary of the Palm Springs, Calif. event.
Headlining this year is Karmin, the pop duo and Rolling Stone Magazine’s “Woman Who Rock” contest winner.
Announced Thursday, Jan. 10, other entertainment includes Havana Brown, Diana King, Kat Graham and Uh Huh Her. Musicians Anjulie, K. Rose and Katy Tiz will also perform over the five-day event. Comics Fortune Feimster of “Chelsea Lately,” Jackie Loeb and Suzanne Westenhoefer will make appearances, as will TV reality starts Lauren Bedford Russell and Kiyomi McCloskey of “The Real L Word” and the band Hunter Valentine.
Two inaugural events will take place this year.
The first is what founder Mariah Hanson is calling "the Dinah Film Series," and includes a world-debut premiere of the first two episodes of “Second Shot,” the new indie sitcom by Jill Bennett, as well as a screening of Paige Hurwitz's documentary on The Dinah, called "Out in The Desert." The new film series will kick-off on Friday, April 5, at 6:30 p.m at the Hilton Hotel.
Also launching this year is an exclusive “Celebrity Poker Tournament” on April 6. All proceeds from the poker tournament will go to the Human Rights Campaign, and celebrity participants will be revealed March 1.
