SAN DIEGO -- Being Alive San Diego will hold an enormous yard sale of items donated by clients and community members on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 8 am to 1 pm.
The event will take place outside of the organizations offices, located at 4070 Centre St.
Proceeds from the sale will go to Being Alive’s Food Bank, called Daniel’s Pantry. With more than 350 clients each month, the monetary need is very high. Being Alive strives to ensure that none of their clients go hungry during the month.
Donations for the yard sale are being accepted. To donate, contact Harrison McCall at 619-291-1400 ext. 320.
Being Alive San Diego’s mission is to deliver quality and compassionate services to people affected by HIV/AIDS and to provide education to those in need. Being Alive was formed by six HIV-positive individuals in 1989 to address the need for “peer driven” support and services. Today Being Alive is the longest running AIDS service organization in San Diego, serving more that 10,000 individuals every year.
