SAN DIEGO -- The North Park Community Association (NPCA) and North Park Maintenance Assessment District (NPMAD) have openings for community members who serve in leadership roles on these boards.
The secretary position is open on NPCA's board of directors, and NPMAD is looking for a resident homeowner to serve on the committee.
The NPCA is an all-volunteer organization that serves to bring together the diverse residents, property owners and business people of North Park and to create a voice to educate, inform and empower the neighborhood. NPCA meets most months on the fourth Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the Lafayette Hotel, 2223 El Cajon Blvd.
NPMAD is a committee which provides a means for private citizen advice to City staff on matters relating to landscape projects, lighting and special community improvements in the maintenance assessment district. This committee meets most months on the second Monday from 6-7:45 pm at the North Park Adult Activity Center, 2719 Howard Ave.
Nominations for the NPMAD seat will be accepted at the Sept. 10 meeting, and an election will be held at the Oct. 8 meeting. For more information, contact Beth Swersie, NPMAD secretary, at email@example.com. More information about NPMAD is available HERE.
