SAN DIEGO -- The Hillcrest Business Association (HBA) will host its next member open house on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at Snooze, focusing on the topic of sustainability.
HBA holds quarterly mixers for business owners and others in the area to come together to network and discuss issues of importance to them.
Participants at this mixer will hear about how to operate a more sustainable business, and have time to share about sustainability practices they have employed. Participants will also have the opportunity to share suggestions for a more sustainable Hillcrest.
City officials and special guest speakers are expected to attend the mixer to answer questions and share additional information with participants.
HBA was established in 1921, making it the oldest business association in San Diego. The Hillcrest Business Improvement District was created in 1984, and works to unify the businesses within the area to work toward a common goal of economically revitalizing the business district. HBA, which represents over 1,300 Hillcrest businesses, does this through marketing programs, civic beautification projects, commercial recruitment, and parking and transportation improvements.
The free mixer will include food and drink samplings provided by Snooze, 3940 Fifth Ave.
