Suzanne Westenhoefer hosts an exclusive Q&A session which features your personal questions
PALM SPRINGS -- As the countdown to the end of March continues, more and more activities are being added for this year's Club Skirts Presents The Dinah, the largest lesbian event in the world, happening right in San Diego's favorite backyard, Palm Springs.
The latest exciting event to be added is an hour long "up close and personal" question and answer session with Meredith Baxter, hosted by veteran lesbian comedian, Suzanne Westenhoefer.
"A conversation with Meredith Baxter is like therapy, comedy and fun Hollywood stories wrapped in a blond, blue-eyed package," said Westenhoefer, shown at left.
A television and film actress since the early 1970s, Baxter is best known as "hippie mom" Elyse Keaton on the popular sitcom "Family Ties," which ran from 1982-1989, garnered her two Emmy nods and also starred Michael J. Fox.
Baxter is also known (especially to many San Diegans) for her stunning, Emmy-nominated portrayal of a bitter and vengeful ex-wife, in two made-for-television movies.
"A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story" and "Her Final Fury: Betty Broderick, The Last Chapter," (released consecutively in 1992) told the story of the local San Diego socialite and mother of four who gunned down her ex-husband Dan Broderick, a successful malpractice attorney, and his new wife Linda, in 1989. It was one of the biggest true crime stories to ever rock the San Diego region.
A survivor many times over herself, Baxter is now an advocate for breast cancer awareness, domestic violence victims, drug and alcohol addiction programs and LGBT rights.

An Intimate Evening
Baxter, who came out as a lesbian on The Today Show in 2009, will first be answering questions from Westenhoefer, then from the audience, and will also be autographing copies of her recent autobiography, "Untied: A Memoir of Family, Fame and Floundering" and posing with fans for pictures.
In her book, Baxter reveals how for decades, a successful career masked her multi-faceted and very tumultuous personal life, including the highs of a wonderful career and her beloved children, to the lows of her failed marriages and difficult relationship with her own mother.
"Meredith Baxter has had one of the most extraordinary careers of any actresses in TV history," said Mariah Hanson, founder and producer of Club Skirts Presents The Dinah in a statement.
"Her personal bravery is an encouragement to all those who have yet to make the personal decision to live out loud. She's a wonderful person with great wit and reflection. This is a one of a kind event that will leave our audience smiling and inspired."
This exclusive event takes place from 8 - 9 pm on Friday, March 30th, just prior to the White Diamonds Party at the Riviera Resort and Spa, in the Grand Ballroom. You do not have to attend the White Diamonds Party to attend.
