The Las Vegas LGBTQ center in downtown Las Vegas was vandalized with a homophobic epithet this week, the incident comes just three months after a tree outside the building was set ablaze by an arsonist according to KLAS.

The not-so-highly-anticipated Boston Straight Pride marched into infamy this past Saturday as more counterprotesters attended the event than actual supporters. 

According to Out, only about 100 to 200 people cared to participate in the rally and parade, including alt-right and openly gay internet reactionary Milo Yiannopoulus. 

Law enforcement officials in Newport Oregon have arrested a man who reportedly beat up a trans woman, leaving her with a broken jaw. 

It happened on August 24, the victim, Lauren Jackson, was at Agate Beach State Park and needed to use the bathroom. 

In drag terms, reading is something you do when you want to playfully tear someone down. But events such as the upcoming Drag Queen Storytime in Chula Vista reading is about encouragement, engaging kids to enjoy real books away from their iPads with a pinch of diversity and acceptance thrown in.

Peter Meijer, the owner of the Tanglefoot Building in Grand Rapids, Michigan canceled a drag show because it features entertainers with Down syndrome. 

The British troupe of performers known as Drag Syndrome were scheduled to appear on August 19, but Meijer, who is also running for Congress, pulled the plug because he felt the actors were being "exploited."

A Colorado comic book store owner came under fire from noisy militant protestors after he started a monthly family-friendly drag show, but supporters reigned supreme with a colorful wall of umbrellas. 

A Russian bakery located in Siberia was ordered to pay $150 (US) for hanging a sign in the shop which read "Fa**ots are not allowed."

The bakery is owned by the Ipakov Brothers and opened back in February when they also hung the sign. 

What was supposed to be a celebration among queer friends for Downtown L.A.’s Proud Fest turned ugly this past Friday when a group was ejected from a local bar prompting speculation of a hate crime. 

Drag queens across the country are going to the library to read to young children in a program called "Drag Queen Storytime," while some San Diegans think this type of community event is overdue others in Chula Vista are calling foul and have no interest in allowing their children to check it out when it debuts at their local branch next month.
