Dear Center Community,
Since the beginning of this pandemic, The Center has said that we will open our doors when we can do so safely, for our staff and community. Though we miss all of the people who make up this incredible community, given the COVID-19 pandemic, we expect to continue our virtual services through at least October 1, 2020. But, we also have exciting news to share: AIDS Walk & Run San Diego is happening, with some changes for safety, of course! We remain committed to ending HIV, and we've heard from so many community members and service partners that AIDS Walk San Diego brings us together and raises funds to fight HIV in our region like no other one-day event. We are delighted to share with you that AIDS Walk & Run San Diego in 2020 is on!
This year’s event has been revamped in order to provide a safe experience for all, transitioning from a one-day experience to a week-long opportunity for walkers, runners, volunteers, and community members to participate safely -- and as enthusiastically as ever!
The AIDS Walk & Run San Diego will take place from Monday, September 21 through Sunday, September 27, giving individuals and team members a chance to complete their Walk or Run over the course of a week, at their own pace, and with their own “socially-distant flair.”
We invite you to register as a walker, runner, and virtual participant today at www.aidswalksd.org.
By participating in AIDS Walk & Run San Diego, you’ll be generating much-needed funds for local HIV services and showing our community members living with HIV that they are not alone. With more than 18,000 San Diegans living with HIV, your support makes a huge difference.
By making a commitment to AIDS Walk & Run San Diego as a walker, runner, team leader, or virtual participant, you’ll help us continue our unrelenting efforts to combat HIV in our community. Please register today. For more information on the event, please visit www.aidswalksd.org.
