A Georgia landscape company refused to service a married gay couple, the owner saying that their union is not acceptable.

Botanica Atlanta Landscape Design is based in Atlanta and by his own admission via Yelp, the owner Stuart Dinenno called their marriage “very perverse and foolish” and a “delusion.”

The discriminated customer, Colton S. of Sandy Springs recalled what happened last month on the social review site Yelp with a one-star review

“Contacted today about a very large project in Sandy Springs," Colton wrote. "The owner asked if the work was for me and my wife, I said no me and my husband and he replied that he wouldn’t be interested in working with us.”

Someone responding as Stuart D. -- the owner of  Botanica Atlanta Landscape Design -- didn't deny the allegation:

“Yes, this is an accurate description of what happened," wrote Dinenno. "When doing a large landscaping project it is necessary to work with the homeowners closely over several months through the design and installation phases. I can’t do that, all the while going along with the delusion of two men calling themselves a married couple, with one man referring to the other man as his husband. It’s very perverse and foolish, and needs to be called out as such.”

Others have also recently chimed in, leaving a long list of one-star reviews.

"Find a better company for landscaping. This company is homophobic and that should not take part in them doing their job!! No questions should be asked if it's for the wife and husband. That doesn't even matter," wrote Andrew S.

Michael S. wrote, "The owner is a homophobe refusing to work with a gay male couple. Must be nice to be so righteous that you can afford to refuse business. However a hater is going to hate. I hope this closet case gets everything he deserves."

One person left a five-star review with this message, "Homophobic but damn he's good at his job! Maybe tone down the crazy and let your work speak for itself not your mouth."
