Early numbers are already showing that San Diego Pride 2018 may be breaking records. Pride Executive Director Fernando Lopez said on Saturday the number of festivalgoers was quickly approaching those of 2013's event which was also the same year marriage equality was made legal in California.

Ticket sales for the festival were also up 72-percent over last year and attendance increased by 40-percent.

But record-breaking wasn't only on the sidelines as 250 contingents marched in this year's parade; the largest amount of participants to date.

Although the official numbers won't be released until later, San Diego Pride says attendance was at approximately 300,000 on Saturday.

The Pride Music Festival entertained thousands with performances by Aidan James, Kim Petras, Paris Sukomi Max, LE1F, DJ Javin, Graciela Beltran, Casey Alva, JoJo and DJ KANDY.

Jai Rodriguez, hosted The Stonewall Main Stage on Saturday and Sunday.

The San Diego Pride Parade is the largest single-day civic event in the region and is among the largest in the United States.

San Diego Comic-Con will also draw tens-of-thousands of people to America's Finest City from July 19 to July 22.

Last year San Diego played host to over 130,000 tourists who descended upon the Convention Center for the pop culture event.
