LGBTQ elected officials to host National Town Hall online

A group of LGBTQ elected officials will host a National Town Hall on Thursday, April 30 at 3 pm to discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on the LGBTQ community. The panel, which will be presented via Zoom, is being organized by the office of California State Senator Scott Wiener.

San Diego Pride has made the difficult decision to officially cancel its outdoor festivities this year due to the coronavirus.

The celebration was scheduled to take place on July 17-19, but new directives from Governor Newsom to reduce crowd gatherings this summer were paramount in Pride organizer's decision to drop the celebration for 2020. 

LA-based dance music executive Orlando Puerta passes away at 55

Longtime music executive and events promoter Orlando Puerta passed away Saturday morning at 3:40 AM after a short but severe battle with upper respiratory infection. His friends and family are awaiting further details and the results of a COVID-19 test performed prior to his passing. He was 55 years old.
