While news is coming out that 17 people have been killed at a Florida High School, San Diego schools in the Skyline neighborhood were put on lockdown this afternoon after police were called out on a report someone may have a weapon.

Classes had already been dismissed at Morse High School and nearby Fulton Elementary on Wednesday, ABC 10 reports say officers were looking for as many as three people, one who may have had a gun.

The lockdown started at 3 pm after school was already out, but students and staff were still on the premises for after-school activities.

That lockdown was then lifted at 4:30 pm with no arrests being made.

There were no roads closed and no reports of injuries.
