Two suspects wanted in connection with a horrific crime in Troy New York last week have been arrested and charged with first and second-degree murder.

It happened on December 21 according to police reports, a lesbian couple and their children were found bound and gagged with their throats cut.

Both men have pleaded “not guilty.”

The young victims were Shanta Myers, 36, and partner Brandi Myers 22. They had two children: Jeremiah, 11 and Shanise, 5. All four were found dead after their property manager came to check on them,

Police Chief John Tedesco said: “After being in this business for 43 years, I can’t describe the savagery of a person who would do this. I don’t think there’s any doubt that a person who committed this crime is capable of anything.”

Police were not giving out much information during the beginning stages of the investigation, but they examined CCTV footage which helped identify 24-year-old Justin C. Mann and 38-year-old James W. White.

According to Daily News White has a violent criminal past and was recently kicked out of a homeless shelter for his behavior.

“I don’t need to tell you how good it feels to have these two defendants in custody,” Tedesco said.

The investigation is ongoing and details are yet to be revealed, but investigators indicate that one of the men may have known the victims. Two knives were found at the scene.

Victim Shanta Myers also has a 16-year-old son Isaiah who was not at home during the murders.

GoFundMe page has surpassed the original request of 40K to help "Mental Health services to the kids, families and the community as well as setting up a scholarship and living money for the surviving child."
