A popular Texas drag queen was shot and killed and a suspect has been arrested in connection with the crime.
Bianca Davenport Starr, nee Jason Bradley was found murdered this past Friday in what police are calling a “possible robbery gone bad.”
The suspect, Fayaka Dunbar (pictured bottom left), 26, was charged with capital murder Wednesday according to New Now Next.
Authorities believe the two met on social media. Bradley died from gunshots wounds in the torso.
The drag star was a frequent performer at Rainbow Lounge in Fort Worth. He was also crowned Miss Dallas Pride 2017 and Miss Texas State at Large 2017.
The suspect is currently behind bars at the Mansfield jail with a $100,000 bond according to the local ABC News affiliate.
The abrupt death of Starr has left many people wondering what happened through their intense grief.
Lindsey, a close friend of the performer is in shock, "They've lost a real queen, a real leader, a mentor, a friend, a guiding light."
"I just want people to know she was a really good person who was there for anyone who needed her to be," Lindsey added. "And that's why so many people loved and appreciated her."
Starr's roommate was also seriously injured after sustaining a gunshot wound.
There is an event being held Sunday at Hooky Bar in Starr's honor.
