UPDATE - According to the Associated Press, 19 people have perished in the explosion and more than 50 people are injured. Police are also treating the incident as a terrorist attack, setting Britain’s terrorist threat level to severe.
The Associated Press is reporting that there are a number of fatalities after an "explosion" rocked an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena in England.The police have yet to confirm the nature of the blast or how many there were.
TMZ is reporting that Twitter users were updating their statuses with news of the tragedy.
"Just ran from an explosion, genuinely thought were going to die," one posted.
The Associated Press confirms that there are "a number of fatalities."
Several other social media users say that there is blood everywhere and that people are injured and bleeding, although no official word has been released to corroborate that statement.
Sources say that Ariana immediately left the stage after they heard the explosion.
Police are currently on scene and are keeping the arena secured
