Balboa Park was the scene of a small witch assembly at noon on Saturday, the collection of men and women was in an effort to put an impeachment hex on President Donald Trump
Local news station ABC 10 was at the convening for the event called “Fire the Fool San Diego!” on April’s Fool’s Day at the historic fountain.
Unlike another call to action by legitimate practicing witches in February, this protest seemed more theatrical than threatening.
These witches painted their faces green and carried traditional straw brooms, representing the fairy tale depictions of hags and viragoes in conical hats.
"Trump is a fool, Trump is a clown, we are here to shut him down,” they chanted through the historic park.
One person yelled, "I hex DT to protect America."
While one donned a "Make America Native Again" hat.
"It's incredible that anyone could be so stupid as to do so many things that are hurtful to the American people," Mary Lou Finley said.
The Ground Zero Players, a San Diego street theater group, put on the event and had people sign a pink slip to “hex” the president.
