Get your umbrellas and galoshes out, San Diego gets its first Spring storm.
Wind and rain are in the forecast this week as San Diego prepares for its first spring storm starting on Tuesday, March 21.
Heavy showers will increase on Wednesday and dwindle by Thursday, while heavy winds will persist in the mountain and desert areas, reports the National Weather Service.
It is estimated that San Diego will get a quarter-inch of rainfall in desert areas; the coasts and valleys may see precipitation get as high as 1.5 inches. Mountain areas will get upwards of 3-inches.
Friday gets a break from the wet weather, but another storm is scheduled to move in over the weekend.
