He had no phone or iPad, and was last seen Jan.13
A desperate plea from a mother on Facebook, has the community wondering where her son Jake Roberson might be.
He was last seen on Friday, January 13, at family get-together.
Sharon Sue German Roberson says her son’s car was found on Highway 5 North in Santa Clarita on Wednesday, January 17.
She also says that Jake didn’t have a cell phone or iPad with him and when police found the vehicle; he had written a note stating he had gone to get gasoline. That was about 1:30 am.
Jake lives in Mission Beach, San Diego, and is a yoga enthusiast. His mother in a related Facebook post asks that people contact their local yoga studios, ashrams, meditation centers, and retreats.
“He wants to be alone and meditate in the woods in peace and quiet,” his mother wrote. “He has little or no money, no car, no phone, and I don't think he packed anything-just started driving north.
"The CHP and SD sheriff dept have sent out the missing person report and a bulletin with his photo.
"They don't feel this is a high priority because there are lots of people wandering, and he is not a threat or criminal.
“Thank you for you overwhelming response-I am deeply moved."
His mother says he may no longer look the same as in the picture used on the missing person's report (seen at top left).
"[He's] probably thinner, beard, scruffy and very spiritual."
