Is your name on the list?
SAN DIEGO, California -- The county of San Diego is holding $366,000 in unclaimed cash, and Monday is the last day to apply to have the funds returned, county Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister said Wednesday.
“We are giving one last shout-out to anyone that has done business with the county to check the list at www.sdtreastax.com and see if they are owed any money,” McAllister said. “These funds will be property of the county after the Monday, September 8, 2014, deadline. I urge you to check the list.”
The unclaimed cash, from 1,684 accounts, ranges from $10.11 to $8,750, which was left behind by Elizabeth Beal, a woman who died without heirs several years ago, according to McAllister’s office.
