CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Openly gay Congressman Barney Frank of Massachusetts addressed the last DNC LGBT Caucus on Thursday, and later gave a speech on the convention floor.

Frank, an architect of the new marriage equality plank approved with the platform earlier this week, will step down from his office in January.

Additionally, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, DNC chair (top left photo), spoke briefly at the end of the LGBT Caucus today, praising the historic number of LGB and transgender delegates.

Dr. Jill Biden (bottom left photo), wife of Vice President Joe Biden, also spoke to the LGBT Caucus this afternoon. She is active in military issues along with first lady Michelle Obama.
