SAN DIEGO -- David Gonzalez and Jeff Howell were elected to the board of directors of FilmOut San Diego on Tuesday night.
Gonzalez, who returns to the FilmOut board, is a senior promotions producer for KGTV Channel 10 in San Diego. He holds a degree in political science from Occidental College.
“Excited to be back! Looking forward to a rocking 15th Anniversary festival!” Gonzalez said in an email to the board.
Howell, who has served as a FilmOut volunteer for two years, has worked in entertainment, film and design. He studied graphic design at the University of Arizona, and lived in Los Angeles for a decade before returning to San Diego in 2007.
“I really appreciate the opportunity and look forward to working with everyone!” Howell said in an email to the board.
The board officers consist of Rick Goldenstein, president; Bob Bouchard, secretary; and David Swietlik, treasurer.
Other board members are Lisa Marie Evans, a multidisciplinary artist; Ana Pines, of Pink Egg Media; Anthony King, Editor of Gay San Diego and Uptown News; and Ken Williams, Editor in Chief of San Diego Gay & Lesbian News.
Michael McQuiggan is FilmOut’s programming director and Kaleb James is the festival director.
