SAN DIEGO _ Residents in southeastern San Diego County were rattled Saturday morning by an earthquake estimated at 3.4-magnitude, with aftershocks occurring throughout the day, according to computerized seismographs.
The first quake was reported at 8:34 a.m. by the USGS-Caltech Seismic Net.
The epicenter was about 3 miles south southwest of Ocotillo, near Interstate 8 and state Route 98.
A 2.4-magnitude quake was reported in the Ocotillo area at 8:48 a.m.
A 3.1-magnitude quake struck at 4:01 p.m.
