(SAN DIEGO) America’s finest city has taken another step towards a brighter future with today's announcement of the first media partnership of its kind between San Diego News Network (SDNN) and San Diego Gay & Lesbian News (SDGLN). San Diegans will now have access to the most comprehensive online news coverage of the issues that affect our diverse communities.
Since the date of its launch, SDGLN’s mission has revolved around changing the tone and tenor of the dialogue on issues important to the GLBT community.
Said SDGLN Publisher Johnathan Hale, “As a proud member of the San Diego GLBT community, it is our hope that SDGLN will help build a bridge between the segments that may divide our community, creating a platform on which all of us can come together and stand as one in our quest for equality.”
SDNN is the source for breaking and local news, sports, events, lifestyle and entertainment in San Diego, with values reflecting the best of traditional journalism standards and as a collaborative organization they are ethical, innovative and inclusive. San Diegans can turn to SDNN for valuable news and information as well share their thoughts about restaurants, movies, sports and all topics from the silly to the serious.
“We're pleased that the San Diego Gay and Lesbian News has become a media partner of SDNN, and we look forward to working together as we increase our coverage of San Diego,” said Neil Senturia, CEO of SDNN.
This collaborative effort is history in the making and bridges the gap between the GLBT community and their heterosexual friends. SDGLN will serve as the primary GLBT news resource for SDNN and together they seek to build a strong media relationship that will propel both organizations into the next generation of journalism.
