RISE San Diego to host discussion on Black mental health

RISE San Diego to host discussion on Black mental health

RISE San Diego is hosting a virtual discussion entitled "RISE Now: Black Mental Health Matters" this Thursday, June 25 from 6-7 pm.

Black lives matter, and so too does Black mental health. During these times of on-going challenge, chaos, planning, organizing, and uprising, many folks in the black community are left fighting through psychological warfare. They are protesting and looking for ways to find peace. How can this be done? What does prioritizing mental health, joy, and self-care look like in a time of civil unrest?

Community members are welcome to join the town hall on Thursday night to discuss these issues and more by registering here.

Speakers include Dr. Ana Laura Arteaga-Biggs, Clinical & Consulting Psychologist; Dr. Kristopher G. Hall, Associate Professor in Counseling at University of San Diego; Carlos "Smiles" McCray, Social Work Entrepreneur; Wilnisha "TRU7H" Sutton, Artivist; and Dr. Zachary Green, Lead RISE Faculty/University of San Diego.
