San Diego Gay Men's Chorus premieres its virtual "Unmuted!" concert virtually tonight

The San Diego Gay Men's Chorus' (SDGMC) Season 36 is underway, with their second virtual concert “Unmuted” premiering online tonight. The concert, which celebrates Pride in San Diego, will feature highlights of past Pride concerts at the Balboa Theater and three new virtual performances.

"We may be performing virtually, but our Pride is definitely unmuted," wrote SDGMC in a post.

The virtual concert is free and will premiere tonight at 8 pm and be available for viewing through Sunday, Aug. 1. Sycuan Casino Resort is the presenting sponsor of the concert.

The concert will be available for viewing here.

SDGMC's popular holiday "Jingle" concert is scheduled for this December and chorus leaders say it looks more and more promising that it will be a live, in-person performance.

"Ultimately, what SDGMC does for the holiday season will be dependent upon the health guidelines that are in place by late summer of 2021, with the safety of our singers and audiences being top of mind," wrote SDGMC. "But we are excited about the possibilities of putting our creative talents to work to bring you some holiday cheer!"
