The menu, which comes from the kitchen space of The Crest Cafe, is filled with delicious favorites like tacos, toastadas, burritos, tortas, and more.
Delicious Mexican flavors are being kept alive with the introduction of Baba Lou’s, a new “ghost kitchen” concept coming from Enrique Medina! Whether you’re dreaming about tacos, burritos, soups, or more, Baba Lou’s has got your Mexican-cuisine cravings covered.
Enrique, who is the general manager of The Crest Cafe in Hillcrest, created Baba Lou’s with inspiration from the flavors he grew up with that were cooked by his chef father, Ruben. All menu items are fresh and made to order, to ensure maximum enjoyment by all customers.
With restaurant take-out and delivery currently the only options available due to the COVID-19 stay-at-home orders, it’s the perfect time to support this new local dining concept which provides meals only available for pick-up or delivery through online ordering.
The current menu is filled with plenty of options for you to enjoy including a selection of “Tecate Taco Plates,” “Bahia Burritos,” “Santiago Soups,” “Quinta Quesadillas,” “Talum Tostadas,” and “Tampico Tortas.” Of course there are side items available too, like fresh guacamole. An ample beverage menu is available to wash it all down, including soft drinks, and a sizable selection of local beers.
Check out the full menu here. Delivery is available within the San Diego area, and carryout orders can be picked up from The Crest Cafe, 425 Robinson Ave. in Hillcrest.
